Google Auto Suggest

Every once in a while, Google does something a little odd. I was looking up information on “How to grow strawberries” as I have some in the garden that are almost ripe. I wanted tips on insect and bird control so that I get to eat them rather than allowing nature’s creatures to beat me to it.

As I was typing into Google, I got the following suggestions when I got as far as typing “How to g”. These are the results I got:

  • how to get pregnant
  • how to get a six pack
  • how to get rid of spots
  • how to gain weight
  • how to get a flat stomach
  • how to grow weed
  • how to get rid of blackheads
  • how to grow potatoes
  • how to get a boyfriend
  • how to get a girlfriend

Clearly there’s an overwhelming need to get a partner, how to have babies, how to get a flat belly and grow potatoes. A very interesting and scary insight into Google users!
